Ashrafieh Branch Relocation (December 2007)

On December 23rd, Banque Bemo’s Ashrafieh branch headed their operations from its new location at Elias Sarkis Avenue. Still at the heart of Ashrafieh, only a few steps away from the old address, Banque Bemo will continue offering the same banking standards with easy parking facilities, to make the banking experience better everyday.

Tobacco Free Initiative (December 2007)

In December 2007, Banque Bemo was honored by the Tobacco Free Initiative for its continuous support and sponsorship of its Anti-Tobacco campaign which aims to raise awareness among young people about the dangers of Tobbacco and to promote a healthy environment. At the end of the Ceremony, Mrs Claude Tabet, Marketing & Quality Control Manager at Banque Bemo received the recognition Trophy on behalf of the Bank.

Christmas Gathering (December 2007)

In light of the Christmas season this year, Banque Bemo sal had the pleasure to organize a Christmas gathering for all young men and ladies of Banque Bemo on Saturday 15th of December at the new Headquarters in Ashrafieh.
Parents and Children participated in an afternoon filled with animation and distribution of gifts.

End of Year Presentation (December 2007)

On Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th of December, Mr. Samih Saadeh, General Manager of Banque Bemo sal gave a presentation revolving around the latest achievements of the Bank and its employees’ contributions to the continuous success and growth.
The presentations given to all employees and staff members at the new Headquarters in Ashrafieh were followed by a small reception to exchange wishes for the New Year.

Oddo Presentation (October 2007)

On Friday the 5th of October, 2007 Banque Bemo sal hosted Oddo et Cie, the first independent financial French company for a presentation regarding Investment Strategies and the latest developments in the Financial Markets.

Mr. Samih Saadeh, General Manager of Banque Bemo sal gave a briefing on the group structure and Banque Bemo’s Private Banking Vision and Strategy.

The presentation focused on Investment Strategies and Asset Allocation for 2007, in light of the international market situation at the time.

The presentation was followed by a Cocktail.

Banque Bemo sal sponsor of ‘’ les Ateliers Culturels 2007-2008’’ (October 2007)

The Cultural Workshops for the year 2007/2008 prepared by the Committee of Sports, Culture and Social Center of the College Notre-Dame de Jamhour have been sponsored for the second consecutive year by Banque Bemo sal. The Center is offering many Conferences and Workshops throughout the coming year and subscriptions have reached their highest despite the current circumstances of the country.

Heartbeat Sponsor (August 2007)

As part of its annual sponsorship program, Banque Bemo sal co-sponsored the Heartbeat Concert which took place at Faqra Club on August 14th.

Heartbeat is a humanitarian, charitable organization created by a group of doctors, nurses, friends, artists, volunteers, sponsors, people who were once affected by heart disease with a mission to provide the highest level of advanced surgical technology and expertise available to treat children’s heart diseases.

RSA – Information & Communication Technology (April 2007)

The ORM unit conducted its eight Risk Self-Assessment on the Information & Communication Technology. The RSA, one of the most powerful Operational Risk Management tools, clarifies operational risk management responsibilities, as well as supports the sharing of views, experiences, practices and provides an overall assertion as to the effectiveness of the operational risk management.
The workshop was held on Sunday April 22, 2007 and was attended by Dr. A. Awad, Board Member - Lebanon Banking Control Commission and Member of the Higher Banking Council, together with 7 members of the Banking Control Commission (BCC)

Launching of Scalino Income Note (December 2006)

The Scalino Income Note was launched in December 2006. It is a 5 year income note paying annual coupons of up to 14%. It has 100% capital protection at maturity and its payout is linked to a diversified basket of 20 global stocks.

Co-sponsoring of College Notre-Dame de Jamhour Agenda 2007-2008

For the fifth's consecutive year, Banque Bemo Sal participates in the sponsorship of the College Notre- Dame de Jamhour Annual Agenda. This year, the theme revolved around “se préparer aujourd’hui à construire notre cité de demain”.

Banque Bemo participated as a co-sponsor in the RDCL’s 20th Anniversary (Dec 2006)

On December 1, 2006 the RDCL (Rassemblement  de Dirigeants et Chefs d’Entreprises Libanais) celebrated their 20th Anniversary at the Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel. On that occasion, a conference was held and Banque Bemo participated as a co-sponsor alongside BSEC, and other banking & Insurance companies .

Bemo Oddo Joint Venture (November 2006)

The incorporation of a New Joint Venture BEMO ODDO INVESTMENT FIRM LTD, DUBAI took place between Oddo et Cie, the first independent French financial company and Bemo Group on November 10, 2006 at the Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel. The signing was followed by a lunch hosted by Banque Bemo sal in honor of the guests from Oddo et Cie.

Annual Dinner (February 2006)

It was with great pleasure that Banque Bemo organized the annual dinner on February 10th, 2006 at the Metropolitan Hotel, to welcome the year 2006 and to share wishes for a successful and prosperous year for all Banque Bemo employees.

Classical musical concert (February 2006)

Banque Bemo co-sponsored the classical musical concert organized by the Rotary Club of Beirut and presented by the National Symphonic Orchestra of Lebanon under the direction of Dr. Walid Gholmieh and the participation of Ms. Hiba Al Kawas. This event took place on Friday February 17, 2006 at 8 pm in the Church of Saint Joseph University (USJ).

Carols by Candlelight 2005 (December 2005)

Senior and junior singers as well as highly talented small children and highly trained choirs including children, youngsters and adults backed by Lebanese musicians gathered on December 17 and 18, 2005 at the Casino du Liban to present the Christmas concert. Banque Bemo co-sponsored this event.

Launching of the Coupon Driver (November 2005)

The joint structure BEMO-BNP Paribas (Guaranteed by BNP AA and arranged by Banque BEMO sal) was launched in November 2005. 
The “Coupon Driver” structure pays 9.25% per annum on 13 stocks out of a basket of the top 15 stocks composing the DOW Jones Global Titan Index, while guaranteeing the capital at maturity.

Opening of Verdun Branch (September 2005 )

A Welcome Week took place at our new Verdun Branch from September 26 till October 1st 2005. Bemo Management was present to introduce our services to potential clients and discuss any eventual financial relationship.

Beirut Cup Tennis Tournament (September 2005 )

Banque Bemo has agreed to join JP Morgan Chase Bank together with other local banks, in the sponsoring of the “Beirut Cup Tennis Tournament” which was hosted at the Golf Club of Lebanon. The tournament began on Friday September 2. The semi final and final games took place on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of September respectively, starting. After the final game, trophies were distributed to the winners. One of those trophies was remitted by Banque Bemo’s representative Mr. Joseph Raffoul – Assistant General Manager, Personal Banking Division. An informal cocktail closed the whole event.

Sponsoring of the ESA Trading Room (January 2005)

Banque Bemo has agreed to sponsor the trading room “Salle des Marchés” of the Ecole Supérieure des Affaires in Beirut. As a part of this relationship, the bank received ESA students to obtain a comprehensive training in its Financial Markets Division.
