Draw ceremony of the fourth edition of “Back to Our Cedar Roots”
Under the patronage of H.E. Minister Youssef Raggi, Banque BEMO held the draw ceremony of the fourth edition of its initiative “Back to Our Cedar Roots”, in collaboration with Jouzour Loubnan.
Celebrated on Lebanese Women’s Day, the event honored women’s strength, equality, and belonging. Minister Raggi called it “an act of faith in Lebanon that reflects the dignity of every Lebanese mother and her belief in full citizenship.”
Dr. Riad Obegi, Chairman and General Manager of Banque BEMO, said: “This initiative reflects our loyalty to the Lebanese soul — generous, open, and courageous. Offering a cedar to Lebanon’s children in exile is a gesture of love and justice.”
Mr. Raoul Nehme, President of Jouzour Loubnan added: “We salute an initiative that plants hope as it plants cedars — advancing toward equality and justice.”
Hosted by Ms. Claudine Feghaly, Executive Director at Banque BEMO, the ceremony celebrated 100 cedar trees, each bearing the name of a young Lebanese abroad; a living symbol of hope, belonging, and unity.
