150th anniversary of ESA campus

In celebration of the150th anniversary of ESA’s campus, Banque BEMO was the main sponsor of the publication of the book “Chronique de la Colline aux Quatre Vies” by Jean-Paul Eyrard and George Krebs. The book retraces the history of the site of l'École Supérieure des Affaires (ESA) from 1866 - 2016.

In his speech, Banque BEMO Chairman of the Board, Mr. Riad Obegi, emphasized that ESA campus has been a place of friendship between Lebanon and France for decades. Furthermore, Mr. Obegi mentioned the different functions of the prestigious site throughout the years (hospital, embassy, school)…Finally, Mr. Obegi concluded by stating that Phoenicians were not only merchants but also savants; a culture that Lebanon once had and should strive to get back. In order to do so, « one ought to refer to the school of the best, among which are ESA and France. »
